May fms 2016

“Dear Lawyer, I hear you’re disheartened by your courts these days. And that you’re even telling judges this. Are these rumours?”

“No they're not. People have stopped approaching labour courts entirely. And the few who still fall in the purview of labour laws end up demoralised by the lethargic movement of dates, documents and witnesses. This is quite old now.”

“Oh dear Lawyer, heed my advise: Give up labour law, take up criminal law.”

“Why's that?”

“But dear Lawyer, don’t say you haven’t noticed. Criminal law is what workers are being sought to be contained through. Everywhere, workers are acting decisively and creating a million trails to thundering effects. More and more, it is criminal law that is being mobilised to attack them.”

“And every such cycle only creates more trails, each more and more volatile.”
